What is this cookware best for?

Does enameled cast iron need seasoning?
No. The enamel cooking surface needs no seasoning. It is suitable for acidic ingredients such as tomatoes and wine, while the cast-iron body holds heat for cooking and serving.
Does it work on induction, and is it oven safe?
Yes. Nori enameled cast iron is compatible with gas, electric and induction cooktops, and the cookware is oven safe up to 500°F. Follow the lowest temperature rating of any accessory.
Will the enamel chip or stain?
Enamel is glass fused to iron, so it will not scratch off like a coating, but it can chip from a hard knock against a stone sink and crack if it is shocked, such as cold water into a hot pot. Heat it gradually, let it cool before washing and lift it rather than slide it. Staining from tomato or curry is cosmetic: a paste of baking soda and water lifts it. Looked after this way, enameled cast iron is the piece in your kitchen most likely to outlast you.
