Alva Cookware Warranty

Alva Limited Warranty

Every Alva pan is covered by a limited warranty against manufacturing defects, for the original purchaser, with proof of purchase. Stainless steel, Artist carbon steel, and enameled cast iron carry a limited lifetime warranty. Ceramic nonstick and Forest carbon steel carry a limited 10-year warranty. If we made it wrong, we repair or replace it free — and we pay return shipping on approved claims.

Alva has built cookware in Belgium since 1949. We stand behind every piece, and this page explains exactly what that means, what's covered, and how to file a claim.

All coverage applies to normal household cooking use. "Limited lifetime" means for the lifetime of the product under normal use — it does not cover normal wear or the exclusions listed below.

What the warranty covers

  • Manufacturing defects in materials or construction

  • Defects present at delivery, or that develop under proper, normal household use

  • Structural problems such as a handle that fails or a base that warps under normal-use conditions

If a product has a covered manufacturing defect, Alva will, at our discretion, repair or replace it at no cost to you, and we cover shipping on approved claims.

What the warranty does not cover

This is a defects warranty, not a wear-and-tear or accidental-damage guarantee. It does not cover:

  • Normal cosmetic change — discoloration, scratches, or surface wear from regular use

  • Gradual loss of nonstick performance over time (this is normal and expected, not a defect)

  • Overheating beyond recommended temperatures, or thermal shock (sudden temperature changes, e.g. a hot pan into cold water)

  • Damage from metal utensils on ceramic nonstick surfaces

  • Misuse, improper care or storage, or accidental damage

  • Commercial or outdoor use

  • Products not purchased from Alva or an authorized retailer

Where you bought it matters

To keep warranty service fast and fraud-free, coverage applies only to products bought from alva-cookware.us or an authorized Alva retailer.

Authorized U.S. retailers include: Amazon (Alva and Allinox USA storefronts), Wayfair, and Macy's. Purchases from these sellers are covered — keep your order confirmation or receipt as proof of purchase. Items bought from unauthorized third-party resellers or marketplace sellers we don't recognize cannot be covered, because we can't verify they're genuine or how they were handled.

If you're unsure whether your seller was authorized, email us your receipt and we'll confirm.

How to file a warranty claim

  1. Email care@alvacookware.com with the subject line "Warranty Claim."

  2. Include your order number or proof of purchase.

  3. Attach clear photos of the product and the issue.

  4. Add a short description of what happened.

Our team reviews every claim and follows up with next steps. For approved claims, Alva covers shipping for the repair or replacement. Replacement products may differ slightly in color from your original.

Typical response time: within 2–3 business days

Damaged or defective on arrival

If your order arrives damaged or with a manufacturing defect, contact us within 30 days at care@alvacookware.com and we'll make it right with a replacement or store credit — no claim photos-and-review process needed for arrival damage, just a quick photo so we can flag the carrier.
