Our History
Alva was founded in Belgium in 1949 with the principles of sustainability and quality in mind. Alva's founder, Albert Vandaele, took discarded World War II army materials and cast them into stylish aluminum pots and pans. These pots and pans were the first products in the Alva catalogue.
Since then, Alva has grown into a Belgian family business committed to crafting cookware of a world class standard. Alva is a timeless yet contemporary collection that captures the company's made-to-last spirit, started in 1949. In a world of commercial cookware, Alva retains its sense of European elegance, heritage, and product quality.
