What is included?
An enameled cast-iron fondue pot, stand, burner and eight fondue forks.
Does enameled cast iron need seasoning?
No. The enamel creates a cooking surface that does not need the seasoning routine of bare cast iron. The heavy cast iron body retains heat steadily for cooking and serving, and Alva cookware is made without PFAS, PTFE or PFOA.
Does it work on induction, and is it oven safe?
The cast iron fondue pot can be heated according to the product instructions; do not put the stand, burner or serving accessories in the oven. Check the directions for the specific heat source.
How do I keep the enamel looking and performing its best?
Enamel is glass fused to iron, so the cooking surface needs no seasoning. Heat it gradually, lift it rather than slide it, and let it cool before washing. For tomato or curry stains, a paste of baking soda and water lifts them.
