Everything You Need to Know

Questions before you cook?

Short, honest answers to the questions that decide whether this is the right cookware for your kitchen.

Which size frying pan should I get?

The 8″ is ideal for eggs and single portions, the 9.5″ is the everyday workhorse, and the 11″ handles family meals and big batches. Many cooks pair a small and a large — that is why we offer 2-pc and 3-pc pan sets.

Ceramic, stainless, or carbon steel — which is right for me?

Ceramic nonstick gives you effortless release and the easiest cleanup. 5-ply stainless delivers chef-level searing and lifetime durability. Carbon steel loves high heat and builds natural seasoning over years. All are made without PFAS, PTFE or PFOA.

How do I know these pans are safe?

Every coated line is independently screened by TÜV Rheinland against a 638-substance panel, and we publish every report on our Testing & Materials page.

Do the pans come with lids?

Some pans include lids — check the What’s Included section on each product page. Tempered glass lids sized to fit our frying pans are also available separately.

Will they work on my stovetop?

Alva pans work on gas, electric, and ceramic ranges, and most lines are fully induction-compatible — see Materials & Compatibility on each product page.
