Alva was founded in Belgium in 1949 and is part of the Allinox Group, the European manufacturer behind cookware used in Michelin restaurants. The same construction logic shows up in this pan: five bonded layers, an 18/10 stainless interior, a three-layer aluminum core and a magnetic stainless exterior for induction.

Safer coating, real release
Removing PTFE does not have to mean fighting your breakfast. Worn nonstick coatings are known to flake and lose their release over time, so this pan pairs its ceramic surface with steel that can take decades of cooking — and with care guidance that keeps the release working.
Cook on low to medium heat, use silicone, nylon or wooden utensils, hand wash with a soft sponge and let the pan cool before rinsing.
